Give it a go, send me a video.
1994 with my 1200’s, a Rane rotary mixer and a few milk crates full of wax. I set up in the kitchen so there would be more dance floor in the living room. I lived in a 2 bedroom on the 3rd floor so making space for people was crucial. I had to peek around the corner to see what records were working. My face is fried cause I had been snowboarding all day and it was spring time... epic day of slush, sun and some house music with friends.
Believe it or not. I actually did go on to graduate college and make something of my life.
Closed out 2019 with a run of 6 shows and some friends in Edmonton, Vancouver, Houston and finally New York City. 2019 was a challenging year - I was happy to put it to rest and do it in the best way possible. Moving forward, I am stoked to be sitting here on the first Monday of the new year more motivated and inspired than ever. 2020 let’s go!
The guy with the beard right here… you’ve seen him before, during + after my shows or maybe next to me on stage, yeah that guy…HE IS AWESOME! For the past seven years he has traveled with me and we have put so many miles in together; hitting over 60 countries and doing well over 1,000 shows together. Matt Tour Managed me with a smile and this easy attitude that made every single person he worked with love him. Some of the time we put in together should have broken both of us, left us in a fetal position in a corner somewhere. Instead, we would sit delusional and sleep deprived in an airport, eating curry laughing our assess off wondering if any of it was real. From circumventing the globe together in one go with three stops, to the breakneck pace of domestic travel during snow storms, cancelled flights, wild promoters, passionate fans and faulty equipment, Matt handled every crisis with grace and ease, always knowing a guy who could fix it or just fixing it himself. He is my brother and I am so excited to witness the next chapters in his life. Thank you for everything!
