Being Popular has never been so controversial as it is today. Pop Music has become a dirty concept, while Pop Culture remains king. Everybody wants to be somebody but nobody wants to admit that's the goal. It's interesting to note that the art community – music, painting, writing – is unique in that a person's success can often times undo their...success. I wrote and posted "You Sold Out" exactly 3 years ago. But as evidenced by conversations across my Social Media platforms over this past weekend, it's still relevant. It's also worth noting that when I released "Steppin' Out", off my second album, it pissed off a lot of people. "You sold out...!!!" they started saying. The song wasn't exactly the same as what I'd put out the year before. It wasn't a replica of "It's You, It's Me". I guess some things never change.
